Fostering safety culture across BC

The British Columbia Patient Safety & Learning System (BC PSLS) is a web-based tool used by healthcare providers across BC to report patient safety concerns such as actual adverse events, good catches (near misses) and hazards. 

BC PSLS helps healthcare providers and leaders collect and analyze information that is crucial for patient safety and quality improvement.  BC PSLS is in use across all BC health authorities and in all types of healthcare settings in the province.

The ultimate goal of BC PSLS is to make healthcare safer for all British Columbians through shared learning and continuous system improvement.   Through our work with the BC health authorities, we are helping to build trust and a commitment to safety and quality at all levels.  Together, we are working to build a Culture of Safety across the BC healthcare system.
